About my sessions
What kind of a photographer are you?
I love lifestyle photography as well as posed. My mission is to document you and your family in a stress free environment. Resulting in providing you with images that tell who you are and where you are in your life and help you make memories with your family that will last a lifetime.
I'm a natural light photographer which means I primarily shoot outdoors, with the exception of newborn sessions. Since I shoot in natural light I shoot on location. There are numerous parks and natural areas to choose from depending on the look and feel you are desiring your images to have.
Tell me more about your sessions
My sessions usually last between an 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours with the exception newborn sessions and birth stories. I like to typically start with a posed set of images. When I feel like I've gotten a good set of portraits then we will move on to more of the lifestyle approach to get images that involve your family interacting together. If you have small kids, they are usually antsy by this time and want to get up and play so this works really well to keep them engaged and having fun which means low stress for you. There is a required $100 deposit to hold your chosen date and time for your session. The remaining balance is due 1 week before your scheduled session date.
When will my photos be ready and how will I receive them?
At the time of scheduling your session you will also schedule a consultation to view your gallery of images 2 1/2 to 3 weeks after your session date. In this consultation you will view all of your images and decided what images you would like to purchase and their sizes. Once you have made your decision on all the images you would like to order, your prints will be delivered in 4-6 weeks.
When is the best time for a maternity session?
This session is all about you! Celebrating and capture the joy of your pregnancy. Your belly is big enough to really capture your beauty as a pregnant woman at 31-34 weeks.
Why wait until I am 31-34 weeks pregnant?
There are numerous reasons for this however, as you approach the final weeks of pregnancy the weight of the baby increases and it makes moving around a lot harder and more exhausting for you. As well there is always a chance of going into labor early. This time frame ensures that we capture this beautiful time.
What is the best time to do a newborn session?
Newborns grow so quickly and change so much so fast . The most ideal time is within the first 3-7 days of birth. They stay asleep and curl up into a little bundle easier in that first week. If your newborn is older than 2 weeks that's ok but it is almost impossible to get them into those curled bundled positions. However it's still possible to get incredible images of them just know that they will not be in a cute cuddly poses.
When should I book my newborn session?
Booking your newborn session before your little bundle arrives makes certain I have an available date on my calendar. Contact me in your second trimester and I will pencil you in. Then once your sweet baby has arrived just shoot me an email letting me know and we will arrange a time.
